Like many of our beloved makers, Maya Mori's side hustle of making bags with her grandmother's sewing machine quickly turned into her life's work. From start to finish, each bag in her collection is lovingly handcrafted.
Inspired by textiles from her Japanese heritage, Maya designs her collection with attention to detail, allowing the shapes of the bags and the patterns, colors, and durability of the fabrics take center stage.
Frankie & Coco frequently collaborates with local Portland artists–including her husband–to create her own line of unique fabrics, which in turn supports the creative endeavors of her community.
