Ah, fall. I know spring is the season that gets all the credit for all things fresh and new, but I think fall is equally about fresh beginnings. Students start a new year of school, ready to learn all sorts of scholastic and life lessons. Employees are preparing for the last quarter of their year, planning events or possibly looking toward new and exciting holiday promotions. With the crisp air and imbibing of all things spiced, fall is a great time to welcome newness. How timely then for two new women to join our staff this fall! Please join me in giving Sara & Lindsey a very warm betsy & iya welcome. Sara, Assistant Retail Manager/top notch OPEN sign holder Hailing from Delafield, WI, Sara joined us as Assistant Retail manager just a few weeks after she relocated to Portland with her boyfriend. In addition to giving our customers the patented b&i customer service experience Monday-Friday, Sara's already shown off her talents as a clothing model on our social media, much to the delight of our followers. 
Make sure you give Sara a hello next time you're in the shop! She's also accepting recommendations for outdoor exploration, live music, and the best place to watch a Green Bay Packers game. 
Lindsey, Production Manager (below,right) We launched our search for a production manager earlier this spring, preparing for a long and thorough process, one that we knew would ultimately find us someone to fill the ginormous shoes left by Amory (below, left), our production manager since 2010. Several weeks later, we found that someone. Lindsey impressed our production team from the opening minutes of her interview and trained alongside Amory before she officially stepped down from the role in late September to focus on school full-time. 
Yes, staging ^this ^ photo made me very pleased. A literal "passing of the torch" moment was too good to pass up. 
In between getting acquainted with all things b&i production, Lindsey enjoys running, crossword puzzles, and resting her chin on a shelf created by her hands.
