About Byun Ceramics: Julie Byun was destined to make beautiful things. Her interest in ceramics goes back to elementary school, when she took her first wheel throwing class at the YMCA. She also studied ceramics and art history at Skidmore College, before going on a 20 year hiatus. In 2017 she started playing with clay again, creating elegant functional pieces in clean shapes and color palettes for daily use. Each piece is hand thrown on the wheel and hand glazed in Portland, OR.
