Nopalera is an artisan bath and body line inspired by the Nopal Cactus, an ancient symbol of Mexican culture. Raised by Mexican immigrant parents in California near the US/Mexican border, founder Sandra Velasquez created Nopalera to celebrate her culture, loud and proud. The result? Handmade and artfully crafted bath products that are vegan, cruelty-free and free of synthetic fragrance and dyes.

Nopalera

Nopalera founder Sandra Velasquez wanted to see an upscale Mexican beauty brand sitting on the shelves of every major luxury retailer. She decided she could be the very representation she was seeking and founded her own natural skincare company.

She started by making products in her home, learned how to run ads, and started where she knew would find the most success: Mexican-American Latinas who wanted products that reflected their culture.

An elevated take on skincare staples, Nopalera is challenging the perception of what it means to be Mexican–in a world that devalues the labor, contributions, and capabilities of Latinos.
