A simple gold band with ruby or tourmaline. Perfect for stacking with a pop of color, an understated engagement ring, or an everyday right-hand piece. Designed and made in our Portland studio.
Most rubies on the market have been heat treated to remove their crystal inclusions and to alter the color by allowing more light to pass through. We're using untreated rubies in these rings. While traditional treated rubies are beautiful, we think the inclusions and color variations found in these natural rubies adds a uniqueness and a connection to the beauty of the earth that is missing in heat treated stones.
Due to Mother Nature's whims, every stone – both rubies and tourmalines – may vary slightly from what's pictured here.
• 4mm x 2mm channel-set tourmaline or untreated ruby baguette: approximately .05ct - conflict free
• 14k yellow gold, matte finish
• round band - approximately 1.45mm diameter

We stand by our work and have taken great care to make a solid, long lasting beautiful piece of jewelry. That said, jewelry is not indestructible and extra care should be taken to ensure that your cherished piece remains in great condition for years to come. Stones and metal can become loose, chip, or crack through prolonged heat/cold exposure, contact with harsh chemicals, certain perfumes/lotions, chlorine, or knocking up against another hard surface (e.g. don't wear it while sledding or in the hot tub...); basically, when in doubt, remove your jewelry.Click for more jewelry care information.
