Double Whammy Weekend: Crafty Wonderland & The Makery Winter Market.

I told you we had shows every weekend in December, and this weekend, we have TWO. Portland, we are so very spoiled. Enabled, really. It is possible to postpone the mere thought of holiday shopping until mid December and still be successful. Not that I would ever be one to take advantage of such last minute buying. Nope, never (hi, family!).

First – only because it starts the earliest (10am) – is The Makery Winter Market. So this event is bound to be memorable. Not only is the lineup stellar, but they are issuing free drink tickets at the door (courtesy of Dig A Pony),  Portland Roasting Co. will be selling coffee, aaaaand there's a hot tub. Like, a real one. Bring your money, your thirst, and your swimsuit- totally normal for holiday shopping, right? Of course, the extracurricular activities are optional. Those seeking a more traditional shopping experience will be over the moon at the diverse selection of "Oregon's finest makers" and be treated to the sweet spins of DJ Bad Wizard. The hashtag for this event is #makerymarket so please share any photos you take along the way (pro tip: don't take your phone in the hot tub). Betsy will be working this show, so make sure to stop by and let her know how awesome she is, mmmmkay?

postcard-back-web2 Over at the Convention Center, Matty & Alyssa will be working/werkin/werqin it at our booth at the Crafty Wonderland Super Colossal Holiday Sale. If you've never been , get the heck ready to be overwhelmed with awesomeness. The vibe at Crafty – yeah, we're on a nickname basis – is truly special; well-established brands sell alongside emerging designers in perfect handmade harmony. Those who go every year can expect much of the same quality of goods this year, plus scheduled craft activities from Collage, gift wrapping courtesy of SCRAP, and goodie bags to the first 150 shoppers on each day. Set your alarms, wear comfy shoes, and get ready to score like the retail pro that you are.  Urban Craft Uprising Update: Booth Babes Kelly & Lacey took Seattle by storm and had a blast at UCU. Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and stopped by to get your shop on. Double the love, Portland! Hope to see some of you out and about this weekend. Statistically speaking, there's a good chance we will. -Anna ***Song of the Moment: Santa Claus is Coming to Town by the Jackson 5***
