Little Boxes 2012: We Rock the Party!

Happy DAY, everybody!!!!!! We survived the second annual Little Boxes! And might I say we did so with energy, grace, joy, and fierceness. I wanted to show all of you some some of the highlights of the weekend, but I must admit that we were so busy (naturally) that it was hard to take a lot of pictures. So take these pictures and multiply the awesomeness by 100!!!

We did it! Prepped TONS of tins for all the b&i pieces that found new homes. :)

Our lovely snack table with Little Boxes raffle on the side. Did everyone enjoy their mimosas... sans OJ? ;)

Burning one of our newest, most delicious Sydney Hale Co. candles, Cedarwood & Vanilla. It really created a holiday-festive atmosphere.

Waves and waves of these happy shoppers coming in. And to think, this is only the beginning....

And this little lady got her 12th Little Box stamp at our shop! Thanks for the support, sista! That's 30 more raffle entries for you! Whoop Whoop!

And of course sweet Gingham was upstairs resting while all the craziness was happening on the floor.

Okay. For those of you who got to participate, how fun was Little Boxes this year?! I can't believe this happened but I actually got the day off on Saturday which meant that I got to join in on all the shopping! My man and I put on our comfy walking shoes, studied our maps, hit the Pearl district/Downtown area, and got about half of my holiday shopping done! I tell you, it was quite an experience. Each shop (I think I went to about 15) had wonderful people to talk to, tasty treats, and curious/happy customers. I visited many stores that I had passed by so many times before but never had the time to venture into. And I'm so pleased that Little Boxes gave me the chance see these stores and meet the people who work there. On behalf of the b & i family and myself I'd like to say THANK YOU to all the shops that participated this year. And and even bigger thank you too all of the shoppers. We couldn't do any of this without your support.

At the end of the event here is our raffle box. Stuffed! Now, times that by 170 other LB shops.... Someone's gonna win an iPad! Holler!!

I'm pretty happy that I can take a big sigh of relief that the busiest shopping weekend of the year is over.... and yet, it has only just begun. Four more weeks of gift wrapping, restocking, laughing, moving and shaking, singing, and hoping that my co-workers will let me play holiday music all day long. And don't try and misunderstand me when I say that I am PUMPED! Bring it on holiday shoppers! This is my fifth holiday season in retail, my first holiday season at betsy & iya, and I couldn't be happier. I can already tell that this season is going to be so much more joyful, especially since I'll be working with some of the coolest people eva! (can't say it enough). As Betsy would say, "bless it be!"   Let it begin!!!!   Happy holidays, everyone! Love, Barrie (P.S. Let this also be the season where all my blog posts end with holiday music) ***Song of the moment: It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas by Harry Connick, Jr.***
